Being ready requires one thing
Is there something you’ve been wanting to do? Or try? Or say?
Something that’s been on your mind or heart for a while but you never feel ready?
I find myself in a lot of conversations about readiness.
People tell me they’re not ready to leave jobs they hate because they don’t have enough money saved.
They tell me they’re not ready to have tough conversations with their partners because they don't want to deal with the fallout.
They tell me they’re not ready to go public with their ideas because they don’t know if they’ll be taken seriously.
I tell myself I’m not ready to try new coaching techniques because I’m not sure my clients will like them.
I tell myself I’m not ready to book travel because I don’t know what cash flow in my business will look like by then.
Our “I’m not ready” stories separate us from the life we know deep down we’re capable of creating.
In my experience coaching and observing myself, “I’m not ready” is a euphemism for “I don’t have enough information to know with absolute certainty that this is the right decision, so I’m going to hold back until I’m sure.”
But here’s the thing:
You’ll never be sure.
There are no wrong decisions.
And, transformation isn’t about information.
If that terrifies you, choose to let it liberate you instead.
Making intentional, transformative changes in your life starts with one thing: a willingness to take action despite the discomfort of unknowns.
That’s it.
You don’t need to feel ready. You need to decide you’re ready.
Have you decided?
