Why you keep getting stuck

Ever get a new idea and feel really excited about it, only to be completely disinterested a few days (or even hours) later?

Or maybe you jump in, feel pretty sure you’re headed down the right path, start seeing some moderate success... then suddenly you’re overwhelmed by all the reasons it’s not going to work?

I can relate.

For a long time—like, decades—I was baffled as to why this kept happening to me.

I saw the pattern show up at work, in relationships, with creative projects and hobbies, pretty much everywhere.

I noticed it happening to the people around me too.

Now as a coach, I see the same thing play out for many of my clients.

So, what's going on here?

Recently, I heard a quote that explains it perfectly:

“Your vibration must be higher than what you create, otherwise you cannot manage it.”

That’s it.

No matter how much you obsess over external circumstances—a relationship you want, a company you start, a project you kick off—its potential is capped at the level of your inner resources.

If you’re not doing the inner work to understand your true nature, build your self-worth and self-confidence, challenge status-quo ideas that don’t serve you—to raise your vibration—you’re going to hit a wall.

Whatever you create can only rise to the level of your energetic frequency.

So before you start that new relationship, launch that new company, or kick off that new project, ask yourself:

Have I developed the inner resources necessary to achieve the outcome I want?

If the answer is no, you may need to reset expectations or reallocate your time to focus on the foundational requirements for success.
